The test generator CWG 1500 is a combined surge current / surge voltage generator. It simulates high-energy interference pulses and is suitable for performing EMC tests on systems and equipment in accordance with the IEC / EN 61000-4-5 and VDE 0843-5 standards. It generates a standard impulse voltage with the waveform 1.2 / 50 µs and a standard impulse current with the waveform 8 / 20 µs at no-load operation.

The Surge generator has an internal 3 different measuring circuits for physically correct measurement of the surge pulse L to N, L to PE and N against PE. The values for current and voltage are displayed for oscillographic analyzes and are available on the rear (BNC connectors) for current and voltage. - Memory - Function
All parameters can be easily and clearly set. Up to 32 settings can be activated directly by means of the memory button.
